Bring physics, hardware, and intelligence together. We are building a compact fusion platform where every operating cycle advances the machine, the models, and the path to affordable power.
Atlas Fusion combines classical numerical methods, machine learning, and AI agents to build cutting-edge solvers for fusion plasmas. You’ll take scientific ownership of the ML research—architectures, training, and data—alongside our physicists and mathematicians.
What you'll build
Design learning architectures that exploit the structure of fluid and plasma equations to accelerate simulation.
Develop training methods that produce optimal models, overcoming bottlenecks in optimization, data efficiency, and long-term prediction.
Develop ways to generate training data using simulations, analytic solutions, and similarity methods.
Build agents that design, run, and analyze training experiments to improve training schedules and model performance.
What you bring
Strong scientific ML skills and demonstrated success solving fluid PDEs or related continuum systems. Plasma experience is welcome, not required.
A record of turning original ideas into accurate models that generalize and can be trained efficiently.
Scientific independence, mathematical depth, and strong programming skills.
Experience building agentic workflows or working with experimental data is a plus.
We welcome exceptional researchers from recent PhD graduates to experienced scientists.
We’re looking for an electrical engineer to take ownership of the pulsed-power systems that drive our plasma. You’ll help decide what we build and carry it from design into working hardware.
What you'll build
Design and improve the power systems for our fusion prototype.
Work with the physics and hardware team to bring those systems online and improve their performance.
What you bring
Experience in pulsed power, high-voltage engineering, or related power electronics.
Sound engineering judgment, a hands-on approach, and respect for the safety demands of high-energy systems.
Stay close to the hardware and see your designs run.
If you like making things work, this is a chance to help build a fusion machine. You’ll assemble, maintain, and improve our prototype, with real responsibility for keeping it ready to run.
What you'll build
Build and modify electrical and mechanical hardware alongside the engineering team.
Keep the prototype running reliably and help solve problems as they arise.
What you bring
Practical experience building or maintaining electrical or mechanical equipment.
Careful workmanship, curiosity, and a safety-first approach to hands-on work.
Your practical knowledge will help shape how the machine is built.
